Oak Park is located just north of Agoura Hills and is bounded by the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation area. It is a small bedroom community that has very nice middle to upper middle level housing. The houses and streets roll along the foothills, making for excellent biking and strolling.

Often, Oak Park will be considered part of Agoura Hills, and while they are adjacent, they are separate communities. The recreation is very attractive for outdoor activities and more sophisticated entertainment is just a few miles away, in Thousand Oaks. The weather is very pleasant, with afternoon ocean breezes cooling off the summer heat. The 101 freeway is easily accessible and the commute to employment centers is reasonable.

There is a little shopping available in Oak Park and it is newer and attractive. One of the main attractions, as if the above items weren't enough, is the highly prized school district. Although Oak Park is not the largest area, it has made a serious commitment to educating it's youth. Oak Park separated from the Simi Valley School District and established it's own school district and has established and maintained a very high level of excellence in education.
